NTR-Net is as collaborative initiative that has been created to address nuclear security issues of national and international importance.
The NTR-Net consortium includes the Universities of Bristol, Bangor, Birmingham*, Imperial College*, Manchester, Queen Mary, Kings*, Sheffield*, Southampton* and Surrey.
Involvement in the network provides the opportunity for researchers to partake in the training and education programme, and for students and academics to become involved in NTR-Net technical workshops and meetings.
In carrying out its work the initiative will very much rely on advanced scientific and engineering expertise – expertise in which UK academia excels.
NTR-Net provides an opportunity for UK universities, academics and students to get engaged in innovative research that will enhance the UK’s Nuclear Threat Reduction programme and ensure the country and its global partners have the robust capabilities needed to meet future nuclear challenges.
